Within Stenden, connecting graduates is part of the active alumni policy that the programme pursues. Marco ten Hoor, director, is leading the charge on alumni relations and chose Networkapp to connect the former hotello’s online. The aim is to give more than 12,000 graduates a network they can enjoy throughout their lives. Within Netwerkapp an environment has been created where people indicate in which city and sector they work, and how they are available to help other alumni. With the help of a social media campaign the community has been widely spread to trace missing alumni. An alumni policy is dynamic and never-ending. For Stenden, connecting alumni to the school is a priority.
Networkapp set up a community called ‘House of Alumni’. When they joined, alumni were asked to to fill in questions about their profile. This gives them the opportunity to easily find each other on the most important tags; new connections are created and old connections are restored.
With the House of Alumni community, Stenden alumni have their network at hand.
